Introduction to Raya ERP

Raya ERP (the Business Suite) is a cloud, multi‑tenant platform that runs the day‑to‑day of a small or mid‑sized business from a single database. Because every module reads and writes the same records, an order you enter once flows through stock, invoicing, dispatch and the ledger without re‑keying.

Key concepts

A few terms are worth knowing up front — they show up everywhere in the product.

  • Account — your company/organisation (the subscriber). All your data lives under one account.
  • Business Unit — an optional segment within your company (e.g. a division or brand) that transactions can be tagged to.
  • Location / Branch — a physical place (warehouse, store, factory). A branch is a location linked to a GSTIN; selecting an active branch scopes what you see and stamps the right GST details on documents.
  • Party — any customer or vendor. The same party can be both, and can hold several roles (customer, supplier, distributor…).
  • Standard vs Advanced — modules ship with sensible defaults on. Advanced capabilities (e.g. capacity planning, job cards, multi‑level BOM in Operations) are turned on per company in Settings → Feature flags, so a trading business and a full manufacturer use the same product with very different surfaces.

Industries

Raya is used across Manufacturing, Trading, Jewelry, Healthcare, Retail and Services. Each has a recommended setup — see Industry setup.

Two products

  • Raya ERP (Business Suite) — the operational platform these docs describe.
  • Raya BI — a separate analytics/business‑intelligence product.
