The manufacturing cycle, from order to finished goods. (Advanced steps — planning board, job cards — require Advanced Manufacturing in Settings → Feature flags.)

1. Demand — a sales order line marked Produce creates demand.
2. Plan (Operations, advanced) — the capacity planning board materialises a multi‑level work‑order tree (sub‑assemblies → assembly → finished good).
3. Work order (Operations) — against a BOM and routing; releasing it draws material from stores and generates job cards.
4. Produce — operators clear job cards stage by stage (pass/fail + machine logs); shop‑floor updates post straight to stock and costing.
5. Quality Control — inspect the output; a non‑conformance can hold the work order.
6. Finish — completion posts finished/semi‑finished stock; Packaging prepares it for dispatch.
7. Dispatch (Operations) — the delivery closes the work‑order group and the sales order, and Finance posts the Sales/COGS vouchers.
